SLT Meteorologist and Driver
Hi weather fans! I'm from Boston, MA, about as far as you can get from chase country in the States. After a couple of years as a guest on the tours, I returned to school and received my Masters in Atmospheric Science and am now entering my 4th year as a driver / guide. In the "real world" I'm a web / software developer and implemented the forum on the SLT web site. Here in New England, I give occasional talks on storm chasing and tornado genesis to AMS clubs and schools and spoke at the 2004 Southern New England Weather Conference. Check out my storm chasing site (www.bostonstormchaser.com) which contains many pictures I've taken on tour with SLT. My favorite part of chasing with SLT (other than the storms!) is talking to guests about storm chasing and tornadoes, from the most basic questions to deep scientific discussions. I look forward to seeing you out there!
A true SLT veteran, Rich has come a long way since his first tour with SLT back in 2001. He is a man of many talents and quite a repository of knowledge. We are truly fortunate to once again press into service his excellent driving, wonderful sense of humor and willingness to share his knowledge.
