Wayne Harrah

Hello Stormchasing Friends!  My name is Wayne Harrah.  Being an Iowan, I have lived in Tornado Alley for most of my life.  I was fascinated by severe weather at a very young age, but it took me until middle-age to actually go on a chase with SLT and find out just how much I really loved it!  I have many hobbies including flying, motorcycling, Amateur Radio, and I am also a trained Search and Rescue Volunteer. In my professional life I am a Telecommunications technician.  But, I think one of the most fun and exhilarating of all of my hobbies is Stormchasing!  I continue to learn more and more of the technical aspects of this rewarding pursuit and we all have a really great time while doing it. But one of the coolest things I’ve seen is that the chasers at SLT become a sort of extended family. This past year I was honored by being asked to be a driver for SLT and am returning for 2009.  I hope I can be there when you discover just how exciting living this stormchasing adventure with SilverLiningTours can be, too!
