Want the ultimate TROPICAL vacation?? Come with Silver Lining Tours as we explore uncharted waters and venture to the Florida Keys in August for waterspout chasing. We will base this expedition from Marathon Key, in the middle of this island chain, and travel by land to catch waterspouts. If you are looking for a chasing adventure that does not require thousands and thousands of miles of driving and hours of sitting in a car, and you enjoy the ocean, than this is the adventure for you! Waterspouts typically peak in frequency in August and often can occur on successive days, with as many occurring as 6 days in a row! Of course we have no control over the atmosphere, but the chances are good that you will see waterspouts. Waterspouts occur often in the late morning hours and late afternoon hours as lines of cumulus towers form over land and interact with sea breeze fronts and old convective boundaries. Waterspouts have wind speeds from around 40 mph in weak spouts, to as much as 190 mph in "superspouts". Your tour guide will be Roger Hill. He will take you on an adventure that you will never forget. Even on off days, which we hope are few, you will be able to snorkel the reef, go sailing, swim with dolphins, visit Key West and famous "Duval" street. When you get hungry for fresh seafood and steak, the islands have plenty of the finest food to feast on! There will not be a dull moment with all the possibilities the Florida Keys have to offer. So sign up now for the August 14 through 22 Florida waterspout tour and get an adventure of a lifetime! Spaces are very limited on this tour, so make sure you sign up early.

We will be using a 15-passenger van. This is a strategy that has been proven successful by waterspout researchers and chasers.
